Hello!!

Well, spring has sprung  - there is nothing more beautiful than the bright green trees and blooming flowers!! I am so thankful that I live in such a beautiful four-season region like New England!! Spring is here and that means that there are some exciting things happening within our church community.....

• Baptism is SO exciting! Nothing is better than seeing people take their faith public.
• Over the past month we have seen 10 people give their lives to Jesus!! COME ON NOW CHURCH - this is what it's all about! Lives eternally changed by Jesus!!
• Mothers Day is THIS SUNDAY!! I'm so thankful for my Mom - she has been such an example of a servant to me over my life time!
• I was just looking at our attendance comparison. As a church our attendance is UP 62% this year alone. Needless to say, I AM PUMPED!!!!!
• On May 27th we are launching a summer campaign that will empower you to invite your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to church through out the summer - STAY TUNED!!
• You are the GREATEST church ever! I am so thankful that I get to serve you and lead this church - GREATER THINGS ARE YET TO COME!!

EASTER IS ALMOST HERE! I can't wait to pack the Lebanon Opera House and the Quality Inn in Brattleboro! I believe that Jesus is going to perform a miracle in the lives of many on April 8th as we seek to reach 500! This is a unique time of year in which we can invite friends, family, coworkers and neighbors to church and it's not a weird exchange. SO - who have you invited? *Only 16 days until Easter Sunday!

*Who will you be inviting to our Easter Celebration? We ALL have friends, family, neighbors and co-workers that would come out if we would simply would ask. Let’s reach the goal of 500 this Easter together!

*Yes, we will be giving away an iPad this Easter Celebration.The purpose of this is to draw people in who will here the life-changing message of Jesus! YES, God can use an iPad to draw people unto Himself!

Here are a few thoughts for you.....!

* Only 23 days until Easter Sunday!

* Who are you praying about inviting to our Easter Celebration? Each and every one of us has friends, family, neighbors and co-workers that would come out if you simply would ask. So, get that list together and let’s reach the goal of 500 this Easter together!

*We will be giving away an iPad this Easter Celebration. On Sunday March 25th we will begin the distribution of these tickets. Of course they are free, but they provide a great way to invite those loved ones you are praying for!

* Last Sunday we had our first preview at our Brattleboro location! It was so exciting for our team to finally practice setting up and tearing down in preparation for the Easter Sunday launch! Please pray for Dylan and crew as they seek to reach a very unique community with the life changing message of Jesus!

*Also on Sunday we had the privilege to baptize 8 more people! Its such an amazing moment when people make their faith public by water baptism! We will have another one in May, stay tuned!!

* RANDOM THOUGHT: How about this weather? I am convinced that Jesus is giving a break this year because of last years crazy BIG SNOW winter!

* We have such an AMAZING team of servants at Riverbank Church. From our Connect Team to our Worship and Arts Team to the MOST IMPORTANT Riverbank Kids servants. Every one of you are amazing and living out the example Jesus gave us!!

* This Sunday is going to be one of THE GREATEST in Riverbank history! The bank will be leading us in one of the most POWERFUL worship songs ever! DON’T MISS IT!

I shared with everyone at our Sunday Worship Experience last week that I believe we are going to reach 500 people this Easter Sunday. This is one of the 2 days of the year that it's not taboo to invite people to church, and we can freely invite our friends, family, co-workers and neighbors to church where they will hear the life-changing message of Jesus.

I want to challenge you to begin to pray about who you will invite to our special Easter Celebration on April 8th. Maybe it's a family member who is far from Jesus. Or maybe it's a co-worker with whom you have had great conversations over the past few months. You know who they are. Have courage and begin to talk to them about this special day!

We will have some resources after our experiences on the Sundays leading up to Easter for you to use to get the word out and specifically invite these people you have in mind. There will be yard signs, doorhangers and invite cards. We will also have (free) invite tickets, that will give each person a chance to win an iPad.

I will be praying for you and the people that you will be inviting. So be encouraged, and remember we celebrate a risen Savior who has given us the most important duty - to continue with this eternal message of hope!

Every follower of Jesus is commanded to be baptized. This is not simply a good idea or a great suggestion. It is a command of Jesus. It is a symbolic act of our desire to follow Jesus by identifying with Jesus in His death, burial and resurrection through water baptism.

The Apostle Paul wrote concerning baptism…“Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:3-4) Baptism is our identification with Jesus and the outward symbol of our inward commitment.

If you are a follower of Jesus and have asked Jesus to forgive you of our sins, then your responsibility is to obey Jesus by being baptized.

* Only 59 days until Easter Sunday! We get to celebrate Jesus miraculous resurrection and invite our community to a special Sunday experience! Begin to pray for our community - that we would be able to reach people far from Jesus!

* Speaking of only 59 days......we secured our BRATTLEBORO meeting space! It's so exciting to see everything come together for this unique opportunity that we have to reach out to a community that is far from Jesus. Please continue for FAVOR and SUCCESS as we approach the launch in April.

* I am so pumped about Life Groups getting started this week! We had a great response and I know that Jesus is going to use this as a time for tremendous growth  and amazing community for many.

* REMEMBER: On 2/19, 2/26 and 3/4 we will be meeting in the UV Senior Center. Because of our growth and the limited space in the Senior Center, we will have 2 worship experience times 9 & 11am. It's always a nice change of pace and a little more cozy when we get to meet in the Senior Center!

Remember, if you signed up for a Life Group, you will be hearing from your Life Group leader this week. We are so excited to hear of the relationships and community that is going to be built over the next weeks and months!

As you all know we are launching our first location in Vermont on Easter Sunday (4/8/12). We are so thrilled how Jesus is already showing us favor in this very unchurched community. We are in the process of securing our meeting place and will begin purchasing all of the equipment necessary to launch to the community in just 2 short months!

Our Launch Team has been meeting every week and even has walked the various neighborhoods praying for the families. How exciting to be a part of a church that seeks to reach Vermont and New Hampshire with the life changing message of Jesus!

PRAY: Please take the time as a church community and pray for our launch in Brattleboro. We believe that Jesus is going to do GREAT things in this area - and YOU are a part of this!

Is there anything more exciting than seeing someone receive the eternal gift of salvation from Jesus? I would say a resounding NO! Well, the past 2 Sundays at Riverbank Church there have been people who have said YES to Jesus! It's so cool to be a part of a church community who cares enough to invite their friends, co-workers and neighbors to our Sunday worship experience!

With this in mind, there are a few things that I would like to share with you:

This is always quite a busy time of the year. Parties, family events, shopping, etc. It seems to never stop! I would encourage you to take the time and remember Jesus and share His love with the people you rub shoulders with every day.
